I normally wear a xl in a shirt or a coat. I ordered a 1x in this shrug and it fits great. The arm length are 3/4. The material is a sweater type and feels really soft and kind of a silky fabric. It fits around my chest nicely. Looks great with a maxi dress for a dress up style. I would recommend this shrug. Just make sure you order a bigger size because they do run small.
